6 Reasons Making Money Online Makes Sense!

I have tried a lot of things over the years to bring home the bacon before I discovered the world of internet marketing. I worked as an employee in retail, restaurants, construction, and real estate. Along the way, I realized I was not very good employee material. I dreaded my alarm clock going off at a certain time every morning, dressing up, getting in my car and heading to a job all day. I felt like I had to beg for any time off and punching a time clock was particularly annoying. Truthfully, I loved my freedom more than my steady paycheck.

Over the years, I also started my own companies doing everything from virtual assistance, real estate investing and network marketing to name a few. None of these businesses really hit the nail on the head when it came to what I wanted and needed from my income producing activities.
I had to find a way to setup an autopilot money making machine that would work for me whether I was sleeping, watching my son's soccer game or driving to the grocery store. I then stumbled onto internet marketing as a way to create an additional income stream.

I found there were six reasons that an online business fit my situation perfectly:

1. Work 20 hrs. or less per week. I already had a day job and was running a household. Since there are only 24 hours in a day, I had to work smarter not harder and leverage my time better.

2. Business that could run on autopilot if I was traveling or out of the office. I didn't want to have to hire employees to manage my business while I was away or to feel like I was tied to my cell phone and laptop all the time.

3. Flexible hours. I had to be available for carpooling, to help with my children's homework, to fulfill my soccer mom duties, etc. I needed to be able to fit work into my schedule not to schedule my life around my work. If I had a block of time from 10 PM to midnight, I could use it to write articles, send promotional emails or tweak my website.

4. Work out of my home. I could work in my pajamas if I wanted to and save an enormous amount of money on gas, since I only had a 20 second commute from my living room to my home office. Also, let's not underestimate the amount of time I saved by staying home instead of driving to work.

5. Must be something I enjoy doing. I liked having fun, you see. I was through with spending my time making someone else rich at some soul crushing, mind numbing job. No more selling my time for money doing something I hated.

6. Must be able to make enough money to help support my family financially. The amount of money I can make is really determined by my own persistence, patience and willingness to learn. I control all those factors. As an employee, my salary was determined by how much my boss thought was appropriate for the job. In my online business, I make the choice of how I spend my time and energy. I can make anywhere from $5 per day to $1,000 per day or more depending on my level of expertise in a particular niche and my ability to market well.

When I first started researching internet businesses, I was completely overwhelmed with the vast number and types of opportunities available. Everything from selling on eBay, blogging, affiliate marketing and more. Don't worry if you don't even know what these are yet. We all started out as beginners. Be persistent and learn all you can by reading articles, blogs, and joining forums. You can quickly get familiar with the industry terms by simply exposing yourself to them frequently by searching online and asking lots of questions.

It is definitely possible to make a good living online. If I can do it, you can too. Just keep it simple and take baby steps until you build up confidence in your internet capabilities.

Ready Made Turnkey Websites - An Easy Way to Make Money Online

A turnkey website is a website that has been made and is ready for the buyer to start using. Normally, ready-made websites have all the components needed to run a website set up. These components include articles, which are typically insightful, hosting, which only requires you to pay a monthly fee, the website's domain name, and the websites content management system. Additionally, services that sell turnkey websites offer you tips and tricks to promote your new website in order to attract more visitors and, therefore, more revenue. Since the website is ready-made, all you have to do is purchase it and start monetizing it immediately. Here are the best ways to make money from your new website:

Sell Advertising Space

One of the best ways to make money from ready-made turnkey websites is through selling advertising space. Selling advertising space gives you full control of the advertising you would like on your website. Additionally, selling advertising space gives you the ability to choose your preferred advertising rates. Therefore, you can earn as much as you would like. Examples of ad types you could sell include banner advertisements, text links, reviews, and rich media advertisements.

Selling Affiliate Products

The second best way to make money from your website is selling affiliate products. This practice of selling other peoples products is known as affiliate marketing. However, to attract more sales from affiliate marketing, your website should receive a substantial amount of traffic regularly. Therefore, you should make sure you promote your website thoroughly to attract visitors. Examples of the best affiliate programs you should join include ClickBank, eBay, and Commission Junction.

Displaying AdSense

The third best way to make money from ready-made turnkey websites is displaying AdSense. This method of monetizing your website is the easiest since all you have to do is place a piece of code on your website and wait for valid clicks. Google will pay you for every valid click you receive. Other great alternatives to Google AdSense include Chitika, Ad Brite, Text Link Ads, and Bidvertiser.

Resell Web Hosting

The fourth best way to make money from ready-made turnkey websites is using them to sell reseller hosting. Reseller hosting is a type of web hosting in which the web hosting service provider gives you permission to sell their hosting services under your brand name. To attract people to buy your reseller hosting, you should buy turnkey websites and sell them to buyers at a throw away price. On your sales page, you should also indicate that the buyers would have to host these websites on your servers for a pre-selected amount of time. This way, you will be able to make recurring income from your turnkey websites.

Asking For Donations

The last best way to make money from your website is through asking for donations. However, your readers can view asking for donations negatively. The best way to succeed in asking for donations is stripping your websites of all other ways of making money. This will give you an easy time convincing your readers to contribute to your cause.

In conclusion, you could make a five or even six figure income from your turnkey website. However, you will need to promote your website aggressively to attract many website readers. Once you have a substantial following, you should monetize your ready-made turnkey websites through selling advertising space, selling affiliate products, displaying AdSense, reselling web hosting, and asking for donations.

5 Signs of an Easy Way to Make Money Online

Whether the economy is good or not so good, it is always nice to have plenty of money, agreed? So I thought I would share with you 5 signs of an easy way to make money online.

I like that feeling of cash in my pocket and a credit card with plenty of punch left in it. And I for one am NOT interested in the traditional ways of making extra money like:
  • working more hours
  • getting a second (or third) job
  • making sales calls on the phone or door to door
Making money online is the choice of many people today because you can do it from the comfort of your home AND you can make money literally while you sleep.

I have been working making money online for over three years now, and here is some of what I have learned. I found that there are signs to look for to indicate if a program is a hard way or an easy way to make money online:

Sign #1: The program in inexpensive. My favorite program right now is only $29. Expensive programs get complicated if for no other reason than to justify their cost.

Sign #2: You need no special skills. If you have to know how to create web pages or optimize a website or create fancy graphics, that may be for some people, but not a beginner looking to make money online, that is for sure.

Sign #3: There are signs of success from others. You have to watch testimonials because they can not only be lies but even computer generated. Find a program where you can even contact the real people behind the testimonial.
Sign #4: You do not have to keep spending money after you buy the (inexpensive) program. Something that requires you to buy your traffic from the search engines in the form of pay per click qualifies as an advanced course in my book; not easy.

Sign #5: The technique allows you to work on your own schedule. This is very important since, unless you have lost your primary source of income, it will not be easy to make webcasts at a certain time or check certain statistics on a regular basis.

So how am I doing, do you agree that these 5 signs indicate an easy way to make money online?
Great, now for the hard part. Finding a program that really is easy to do as described by the 5 signs I have listed above. There are thousands of programs out there and many are outright scams. Many of the rest either never worked or do not work anymore.
Therefore a sixth sign could be that the make money online program would stand the test of time. Unfortunately that is almost impossible for you to know up front unless you already have a lot of experience.

Fortunately I know of such a program as I have described above. I use the program to make money online, I have family who use the program, and I can put you in touch with other real people who can vouch for the techniques taught in it.

For a serious look at a program meeting all SIX qualifications listed above of an easy way to make money online [http://www.HowToEarnMoneyVideo.com], go to my website right now. The address is [http://www.HowToEarnMoneyVideo.com].

10 Reasons Why My Internet Business Failed is Revealed

You hear it all the time, "Why did my internet business fail?" The reality is that running an internet business is just as tough as running a traditional brick and mortar. By no means is it easy to be successful at either. Driving traffic, generating leads, challenging competition, and marketing strategy are just as prevalent online as it is offline. Based on a recent study, we know that over 80% of the population by the year 2010 will be running a for-profit business online or have some kind of internet presence [Resource: Oneupweb Research]. It's clear that as internet marketers, we have to challenge ourselves to find the reasons why businesses fail in order to succeed.

Finding a systematic approach for an online business is key to your success. Trisha Ahlman, CEO of Augment Marketing Group recently released a poll of nearly 35 unsuccessful internet businesses and why they failed. Research indicated that most internet businesses failed due to 10 very important and common reasons. When marketing an internet business, marketers have to clearly devise a plan of action and take these reasons serious if wanting to succeed with an online business model.
"The 10 Reasons My Internet Business Failed is Revealed" [print it out and study]:

1) Commitment - Some people are starters but never really finish anything. They are people who want to succeed but never really quite get there. It boils down to commitment. When running a home-based or internet business, you have to be committed and disciplined. According to one success story, "I learned when marketing my internet business that commitment is a real key component. Having action plans, calendar of events, step-by-step instruction, and check lists have really helped with marketing my internet business successfully".

2) Budget - Internet business that failed did so because they lacked budget. The rule of thumb is 10% to 20% of sales, in most cases, depending on how aggressive you intend to be with marketing your internet business. The question consultants face, "How do I develop a budget from sales when I first start?" The answer is that you have to have the mindset that you will spend a specific amount each month in marketing. Sure, there are grassroots internet marketing techniques just like there are offline, but you still need a budget in mind to get started. The research indicated that most who failed had little if any budget.
3) Resources - Lack of resources was a clear reason for failure based on the poll; including time, money, hardware, software, and manpower to name a few. An important point to remember when marketing an internet business is that you should treat it just like any other business. If you lack resources in one area, you have to make up for it in another area. If you lack money, for instance, put more time into marketing the internet business. There are tons of free trials, low monthly subscriptions, and/or automated marketing software that can help multiply your marketing efforts.

4) Support - Lack of support from family members, team members or customer support depending on your business played a huge role in failure based on statistics. Running a business offline or online is really no different. As an entrepreneur you are working long hours, you are committed and you are determined to succeed, then when you need to rely on a source for support, perhaps it's not there. Forget selling to consumers, your first sales job is to your inner circle of support. Make sure you have ultimate buy-in from family, friends, and key support players.

5) Systems in Place - A systematic approach to marketing an online business includes developing an organizational chart, setting time lines when to launch products, services and PR campaigns. Developing an online business model, setting up a merchant account, marketing plan, and all other systems that should be considered to run a successful online business is still necessary. Those businesses that started marketing an internet business without systems in place or, at the very least, set it up on the front-end of their business --simply failed.

6) Planning - Writing down goals for sales, budgets, projections, campaign tracking strategies, as well as target audience, keywords, etc... were a huge role in failure across the board. When asked, businesses polled did not understand the power of goal setting and planning. Most didn't even have plans for (3) three months out much less 12 months or (3) three years out. While the internet changes quickly, planning is still important to success when marketing your internet business.

7) Strategy - "What do you mean long-term strategy? This is a home-based or internet business. Why would I need to think of strategy? ", commented one business. Long-term vision is important to every business. Companies that failed did not take strategy into consideration when developing concepts for their brand. There's a simple solution for online marketers. If you are marketing your internet business with success in mind, write down your vision, mission, and at least three to five core values. Begin creating a strong foundation for what you provide consumers even when marketing an internet business.

8) Motivation - Attitude is everything and internet marketers were consistently discouraged easily for those internet businesses that failed. Implementing core beliefs when starting an internet business is just as critical for online marketing. It's highly recommended to get a dose of motivational inspiration on a daily basis or at least every other day when starting an internet business. Getting easily discouraged is not an option.

9) Mentorship - The number #1 reason that internet businesses failed was due to lack of mentorship. Most off line franchises are successful because they are team-centric and offer a ton of support, mentorship, and coaching. In order to sell more franchises, success is critical; therefore, it's in their best interest to offer help. If you have an internet business that does not have some sort of mentorship program, team support, or coaching plan, you either need to begin developing your own or research services that have mentorship programs.

10) Training - The number #2 reason that marketing an internet business failed was due to lack of training through either mentors or through the chosen internet business franchise. Staying abreast marketing trends and techniques can only be achieved through training and instruction. Those who failed simply did not understand all the facets of marketing online. If the internet marketer is committed to marketing their internet business then they will seek training resources to support their success. If not, like the 35 polled internet businesses, they will fail.

Successful Entrepreneur Or Amateur Entrepreneur - Which One Are You?

None of us are born a successful entrepreneur. We all come into the world in the same way namely naked, scared and ignorant. What then separates us are the choices we make during our lives. These choices can range from whether we go into further education, who we marry, the career we choose, living a healthy life and the list goes on.

Making the right choices are important as ultimately these choices will determine how successful and happy we will become in life. Even when we make the wrong choice, many of us fear changing that decision as we fear taking the necessary action to make our lives better.

This applies to those who have made bad career choices. Many will continue to complain that they hate their job which then impacts on their home life, but most will still not take the necessary steps to change their lives for the better.

Even those who are brave enough to take action and start their own business sometimes still make the wrong choices that will still lead to failure and dissatisfaction. So what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the amateur entrepreneurs?
Both sets of entrepreneurs are focused on becoming successful and both work hard to achieve their goals. However successful entrepreneurs are aware that success will not happen overnight and they build their success slowly and consistently and avoid the common pitfalls faced by their less successful counterparts.

Some of the downfalls that many entrepreneurs experience include:

Slow And Steady Wins The Race

Successful entrepreneurs realise that success will not happen overnight. They acknowledge that even seemingly small steps will eventually lead to the peak of the mountain. Like the story of the tortoise and the hare their goal is about adopting positive behaviour and habits and above all being consistent until slowly, but surely, they go on to win the race. They realise that in order to become successful they will need to work very hard to achieve that success.
They also do not become complacent when they have achieved success. Instead they continue to do the things that have made them successful realising that consistency is key to long term success.

Self Education

Self education in another major reason why some entrepreneurs are more successful than others. Technology is constantly changing and therefore for any kind of entrepreneurship, education is paramount to success especially for those who have online businesses.

Take 100% ownership

To become a successful entrepreneur accountability is a must. You will need to take full responsibility for the way that your business is run. Amateur entrepreneurs have the tendency to blame any shortcomings on bad luck or on other people. However, any mistakes made are, again, as a result of making bad decisions. For example if mistakes are made in a script that has been written for you it is wrong to blame the scriptwriter, as ultimately you should have taken ownership and checked the script before the presentation. Likewise it is your own fault and not bad luck, if you overstretch yourself financially and then factors go against you. A good businessman would make a better decision by allowing for any eventualities that might happen and keep a reserve of cash in case.

Time Management

Don't waste time doing things that don't need doing. One of the biggest flaws that many entrepreneurs make is trying to do everything themselves. It is important to manage your time wisely and only the things that you need to do.

Learn From Other Successful Entrepreneurs

This is the most important difference between a successful and an amateur entrepreneur. It is far easier to become successful by being guided by other successful individuals who have been down that path before you. Even famous entrepreneurs have been influenced by other successful people. Richard Branson was advised by Freddie Laker before venturing with his airline and Steve Jobs was inspired by Robert Noyce of Intel.

It is far better to avoid costly mistakes by listening to the more experienced experts. A good mentor will not only teach you how to become successful but they will also let you tap into their own network, allowing you to surround yourself and learn from other successful people.

They will teach you the leadership and behaviour that you need to adopt to become successful.
There are many online communities that will offer mentorship programs by top business experts. The advantage of joining a reputable community is that you will have access to tools, training, focused education and live coaching calls that will equip you with all you need to know make the shift from amateur to successful entrepreneur. With technology and marketing constantly changing it can be hugely advantageous to have access to the most up to date methods that have been tried and tested by someone else's money rather than your own. All you need to do is to implement what you are taught one step at a time.

Having mentoring and coaching, in my opinion, is paramount to succeeding especially with an online business. In any business, entrepreneurship skills are crucial to becoming successful. Therefore you will need to learn the necessary skill sets required to become a successful.
Being mentored by another business entrepreneur can help to steer you on the right path to becoming a successful entrepreneur.

My name is Roy Derrick and I have over 20 years experience in running my own business. Over the years I have set up several successful businesses including a chain of retail stores and a construction company. My wife and I currently run a home based business that offers individuals easy ways to earn an extra income working from home.

This business, unlike my previous bricks and mortar businesses, provides us with the work/life balance that we have previously strived for, allowing us to spend valuable quality time with our children. I currently use my experience to find the most up to date and effective ways for other individuals to make money from home without them having to dig too deep into their pockets to find start up costs.

5 Common Mistakes Online Entrepreneurs Make

Every single year, thousands of people try their hand at online marketing. The unfortunate truth is that most of them fail miserably and leave the scene with their tail between their legs. Just like the fox and the sour grapes, they tell themselves that the whole internet marketing industry is a scam, and all those who succeed at it are scammers.

In reality, most of these beginners make cardinal errors in judgment and sabotage their own chances of success. To become a successful online entrepreneur requires knowledge, perseverance, a dash of luck, patience and a truckload of "massive action taking."
There is no other way to succeed online. The illusion of a laptop lifestyle by some sun-kissed beach in the Caribbean is exactly that - an illusion. It only becomes a reality when you've put in the work and have automated systems in place that generate passive income day after day, month after month.
To reach this stage, there are 5 common mistakes that you absolutely must avoid. Failing to do so will almost always guarantee failure and leave you stuck in the muck and mire of mediocrity. Maybe that's a bit harsh, but it sure drives home the point.

1. Waiting To Feel Ready

This is the biggest mistake of all. Most beginners are stuck in a hamster wheel of learning but not doing. They get their little paws on every eBook that they find, they watch every YouTube video out there on making money, they attend every pitch fest disguised as a "Webinar", but they don't do the one thing that matters.
They don't TAKE ACTION. This is the most important step. You learn by doing. You can't learn to swim if you won't jump in the pool. Start doing, and you'll overcome your inertia and get the ball rolling. You'll start seeing results and know what else needs to be done to succeed.

2. Your Business Model Is Not Passive

Initially, you may need to do everything yourself because you're just starting out and learning the ropes. You might be bootstrapping your business and funds may be tight. This is perfectly understandable.
However, your business should be able to run without your presence when it is successful. You should be able to scale your online business by automating tasks and outsourcing where necessary.
To truly succeed online, you'll need help from others. It's impossible to do everything yourself. Hire people to handle your support, or do your graphics or create your content.
Focus on only doing the most important income generating activities. The other extraneous stuff can be handled by your virtual assistants.

3. Expecting Success Online Because You Have a Degree

It may come as a huge blow to the ego, but your paper qualifications do not hold much water in internet marketing. Many newbies fresh out of school with impressive qualifications, expect it to be a cake walk online.
When reality hits them that their degree has no bearing on their success, it can be a bitter pill to swallow. Being an online marketer is about profits, and not wages. If you're looking to be hired at a company, your university degree will matter.
When you're selling online, your customers can't give two hoots if you have a degree or a Dalmatian. They just want products that are of value, and which help them. If you can deliver these two, you'll make the money. The focus is always on the customer, and not the fancy credentials after your name.

4. Failing To Adopt a Profitable Online Business Model

When starting out online, there are many paths to follow. Some can be scaled up and become wildly profitable, while others have invisible ceilings. If you become an info-product creator, you're only limited by your imagination and skills.
However, if you become an article writer at a content mill online, your earnings will be dictated by what they pay you. You'll also only be able to take on so many jobs in one day because your time is limited.
Always choose a business model that will allow you to scale up, and where you can set your own prices.

5. Focus On Your Strengths

This is a big one too. You absolutely MUST follow your strengths. If you have a good personality and can make interesting videos that get a lot of views, that's your strength. Go with video marketing and make a killing there.
Do not try to become a writer and struggle to write and sell content because you heard that's where the money's at. Or try to jump into graphic design and spend five hours creating an eyesore.
Focus on your strengths and exploit them to their fullest. You'll shine at what you do, and make enough money online to be considered a success. You'll probably end up influencing other beginners to do what you do, when that's not their strength to begin with. The vicious cycle never ends.

Is Doing Affiliate Marketing Making You Money?

Many people see doing affiliate marketing as a way to make money quickly and easily. Certainly from what self-styled experts on the web seem to indicate, it's a sure fire get rich scheme. Maybe you are one of many people who has started a website or a blog as a way to earn revenue by doing affiliate marketing. Well, the question is, is marketing making you money? If it isn't, there are a lot of possible reasons for this - and you need to see what you can do to stack the odds in your favour before you join the many that have tried and failed at doing affiliate marketing.

Obviously the point of doing marketing is to make money, so the only way to judge how successful your business is, is to ask 'is doing affiliate marketing making you money?'. One of the biggest causes of failure in affiliate marketing is really simple - people do not get enough traffic to their website. At the end of the day, doing affiliate marketing, like every other business, is a form of selling. And selling, provided you have the right product, is a numbers game. If you aren't driving traffic to your site, statistically you aren't going to get enough people using your affiliate links to make you money. If you are going to be doing affiliate marketing, investigate every way to get people to visit your site - make sure your content, and SEO are both up to standard, and keep abreast of trends.

You also need to look at the products the affiliate programs you link to are selling. If you wouldn't buy them, then why should anyone else. Only do business with reputable companies who have a reputation for excellence and delivery - or your business will suffer the consequences of your affiliate's bad reputation. You won't have to look far for the answer to 'is doing affiliate marketing making you money' if you are using a company which isn't up to scratch. There are many affiliate programs available - if you are going to be doing affiliate marketing, you must make sure you know the credentials and background of the companies you partner with.

Is doing affiliate marketing making you money is the only question that really matters in this business - but looking at where you could be going wrong, and addressing the weak points in your business can turn things around. If you are happy with the Affiliate Company, or companies you are using, and the amount of hits your site is getting then you need to look at who your target audience is. If you are doing marketing, knowing your market is key. Why do people come to your site? What are they looking for? And how does this tie in with your affiliate products? People on the web are very task oriented. If they go in search of a particular product or information, then their minds aren't going to be anywhere else. Having affiliate products which do not tie in with your site is a recipe for failure - make sure there is a clear link between your affiliate product and the content of your site.

If you can answer the question is doing affiliate marketing making you money, then congratulations - you have succeeded where few have. If it isn't - don't despair, and give up on doing affiliate marketing. Honestly and carefully examine your business to see where you are going wrong, and make the corrections you need to. If you are determined, persevere and are patient and you have followed the basic steps, there is no reason why you should not succeed.
